While Jeff Mitchum's fine-art photography is breathtaking all by itself, marrying a piece with Jeff's line of eco-furniture and one of Markian Olynyk's stunning glass sculptures will turn a room of your home into a peaceful, meditative escape. An Earth room.

 

Jeff first saw Markian's work in 2008 and wondered how he created these living earth pieces. "Here is a man who is a fine-art photographer, environmentalist and world-class artist who uses glass as his camera," Jeff observed.

 

Markian found Jeff's photographs equally wondrous so the two decided to collaborate. Markian's one-of-a-kind glass Monoliths and Arcs would complement Jeff's photography and eco-furniture, and the Planet Earth Master Series was born.

 

Monoliths are tall, vertical glass pieces whose color scheme will match Jeff's photograph. Arcs are curved, horizontal glass pieces created specifically to match Jeff's print. Olynyk's work will be limited to 12 Artist Proofs for each of Jeff's images, but every Olynyk creation is unique because each one is made individually. And, if an Arc hasn't yet been imagined for one of Jeff's prints, the buyer actually can give input, and help complete the series.

 

"The Earth rooms are a representation of Markian's mastery, my fine-art photography, and our friendship," Jeff says. "It takes two to be a brother!"
